The change of seasons has several outcomes. The abundance of daylight changes along with the day-night temperature. All of these changes happen during this period. The teachers of the Montessori San Dimas, CA notice that the sudden temperature changes bring in diseases, for the susceptible ones. Kids are generally at the forefront. Often kids caught a cold or fall sick during season change. Parents feel jittery during this time. So to make their life easier, it’s better to take some precautionary measures for their kids. Such steps will help the kids remain healthy, safe, and secure during all the seasonal changes brought by the changing weather.

The first and foremost thing which is to be kept in mind is to make the kids drink enough water. Instill an everyday regime in them to drink one glass of water after getting up in the morning. This routine can work wonders to keep the kids hydrated. This should be the most important thing they should follow every day irrespective of any weather conditions. Water flushes out toxins. It also helps in regulating body temperature. Less intake of water makes nasal passage and throat dry making these regions susceptible to germs. If those entry points of germs, as well as the whole body, are optimally hydrated, then there are fewer chances of germs to harm them.

Having vitamin C in the diet is a must during the season change. Lemons, oranges, kiwi, and all citrus fruits contain plenty of vitamins C. Vitamin C improves the immunity level of the body and prepares the body well to fight against germs. Hence vitamin C in the regular diet can keep a kid healthy.

Proteins in any form like egg, fish, chicken should also be present in the kids’ diet. Protein helps them to grow. Fiber-rich food like lentils, carrots, broccoli, etc should also be in their diet to clear their bowel system. Inclusions of anti-oxidants like cherries, green leafy vegetables, strawberries, cinnamon, clove, garlic help to keep their immune system healthy.

Include dry fruits and nuts like almonds, raisins, dates, walnuts in the kid’s everyday meal and even in the lunch for their Preschool San Dimas, CA. This healthy nourishment provides warmth during winters and prevents the kids from getting sick from cough and cold. Eating fresh fruits, juices, salads, soups, etc also boosts their energy level.

The calcium and protein present in curd are also very healthy. Being a probiotic, curd not only keeps the gut healthy but also helps to improve the immunity of the kids.

Keeping the child active is essential throughout the day. Exercising regularly for at least 30 minutes keeps the kids active. It should be a habit of them to either do exercise, or yoga regularly or getting involved in outdoor sports in the Montessori San Dimas, CA. Sleeping uninterruptedly for a minimum of 8 hours is also essential for the growth and development of the kids.

The kids should be encouraged to maintain personal hygiene. Taking proper care of oneself is very essential. Germs, viruses, bacteria tend to come from dirty surfaces. Washing hands quite often, and every time after returning home from outside should be put into a habit in them.
